Killian’s is a home-based business in Palm Coast, which started 12 years ago. Through the downturn of the economy and the housing crash, the business faced a decline in sales, but owners Hans and RoseMarie Killian sought help from Volusia-Flagler SCORE.
Now, their sales are back to the margins they saw in 2007, when their business was at its peak. “This is a great example of two entrepreneurs who managed their business through a downturn and, through positive action, positioned themselves to take full advantage of an upturn in the marketplace,” said SCORE Counselor Dave Dobel.
For their success and hard work, SCORE Chapter 87 awarded the Killians the 2013 Entrepreneur of the year award.
